Liability in Case of Accident

In an accident where the hirer is deemed responsible, they shall be liable to pay the accident penalty, comprising the excess insurance coverage plus 20% of repair costs. Moreover, the hirer will bear the daily rent until the vehicle is repaired. However, if the hirer is not at fault and the second party is identified, they shall be exempt from charges.

In case of "TOTAL LOSS" (irreparable damage), the hirer agrees to remit 20% of the car's total insured value to the insurance company, in addition to the excess amount of insurance coverage.

Driver Requirements

The hirer must possess a valid driving license for at least one (1) year and be over 21. Individuals with a driving license for less than a year or under 21 years old shall be liable for all repair charges and damages.

Exclusions from Insurance Coverage

There shall be no insurance coverage under the following circumstances:

Renting the car from an unknown source.
Driving under the influence of alcohol or any impairing substance at the time of the accident.
Permitting an unauthorized driver to operate the vehicle.
Damages incurred from natural disasters, off-road driving, racing, or driving in desert areas, and 100% charge liability to the hirer.

The hirer authorizes Taycan Rent a Car to recover the vehicle using key reserves from anywhere in the UAE without reference to them.

Fines and Salik Terms in Dubai

The hirer agrees to settle all traffic and parking fines during the rental period. Additionally, the hirer consents to deposit for traffic and parking fines during or after the rental period, with the company reserving the right to claim any unpaid amounts within one month of rental termination. The hirer is also responsible for charges incurred from the "SALIK SYSTEM" (5 DHS.) per pass.

Car Rental Conditions in Dubai

In case of an accident, the hirer must only move the car once the police inspection is complete and promptly deliver all required documents to the rental office.
The hirer is liable for repair and daily rental fees for non-working periods due to accidents or technical issues caused by their negligence.
In case of accidents or technical/mechanical issues, immediate notification to the rental office is required before any repairs are initiated.
The vehicle should be returned to the rental office in good condition as per the attached checklist, with the hirer responsible for maintaining adequate water and oil levels. Cleaning charges shall apply if the car is returned unclean.
The hirer must return the vehicle to the office for scheduled services.
Off-road driving, racing, rallies, or any activities that may damage the vehicle are prohibited, with the hirer held accountable for resulting damages.
The hirer assumes responsibility for any legal or contractual obligations related to the vehicle during the rental period.

Additional Charges

The hirer is liable for car towing service, decline in value regardless of repair, and any amounts paid by Taycan Car Rental for loss or damage to the vehicle, including court costs and legal fees.
